La Banda Reciclada (Recycling Band) is a bilingual (English and Spanish) workshop and exposition for children (of all ages) and adults that promotes recycling, art, and living in community.

Working with found materials, participants construct musical instruments and personalize them with their own artwork. The workshop or expo can be offered in Bloomington, Indiana with a focus on inventing instruments, learning basic music skills, teamwork and creativity as we turn others’ garbage into new creations. At the end we can present our inventions and music at any local venue, private or public.

Over 500 kids in Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico and the United States have joined La Banda Reciclad so far.
